No collection Friday; Friday route moves to Saturday
Applying the city's rule to Friday, Dec. 25: no collection that day and the Friday route moves to Saturday, Dec. 26. The page lists no 2026 dates.
Tacoma does not pick up garbage, recycling or food and yard waste on New Year's Day, the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. If a pickup day falls on or after one of these holidays, collection is one day later that week. Other days stay on the regular schedule.
The page covers garbage, recycling and food and yard waste. It gives no 2026 dates, so the city's My Schedule tool is the place to check an address.
