Friday, Dec. 25 is a holiday; collections slide forward one day
Both 2026 calendars mark Friday, Dec. 25 as a city-observed holiday. Monday through Thursday of that week keep their normal days. The calendars do not print the shifted day for Friday collections, so check the city calendar for your day.
Both 2026 calendars say that collections scheduled on or after a city-observed holiday slide forward one day during the same collection week.
The city publishes separate 2026 calendars for trash and yard trimmings, recycling, and bulky waste.
