Friday collection moves to Wednesday
Applying the city's rule to Friday, Dec. 25: collection scheduled that day is collected on the Wednesday of that week, Dec. 23. The 2025 calendar says to set containers out by 7 a.m. Wednesday in this case.
If collection is scheduled on a holiday, the city's FAQ says recycling, garbage, bulk trash, limbs and yard waste are collected on the Wednesday of that week. The city says holiday schedules can be requested from the 311 Call Center.
The FAQ covers recycling, garbage, bulk trash, limbs and yard waste. The FAQ is undated and the calendar PDF is the 2025 edition. No 2026 holiday dates were found.
