No normal collection Dec. 25; alternate day set by the city
The city's FAQ says customers affected by Christmas are notified of an alternate collection day, generally the following weekday or the previous Saturday. The posted holiday calendar shows curbside collections closed on Christmas Day in one version and next-day service in another, and no alternate date is stated for Dec. 25, 2026.
Refuse is collected on all holidays except Christmas and New Year's Day. For those two, affected customers are notified of an alternate day, generally the following weekday or the previous Saturday.
The calendar covers curbside garbage, recycling and composting. Solid Waste Services collects only in its own service area. Commercial operators serve the rest of the municipality.
