Collection delayed one day for the rest of the week
Thanksgiving, Nov. 26, is on the city's list. Collection that week is delayed one day, so Friday pickup falls on Saturday.
On listed holidays Akron skips collection and delays it one day for the rest of that week. The 2026 list includes Thanksgiving and Christmas but not Juneteenth.
The page says collection and does not separate trash, recycling and yard waste. A 2026 holiday schedule PDF is linked on the page.
